Deck of cards
The pattern in the sequence is that the numerals decrease by 2 each time: 7, 5, 3. So the next card would be 1, or Ace. The only suit not used with the 7, 5, or 3 cards is clubs. The answer to this puzzle is Ace of Clubs.
Word puzzle
It’s possible that there is more than one solution to this puzzle. Here is mine:
1. PARK
2. PART
3. CART
4. CARD (?=D)
5. CORD
6. COLD
7. COLT
8. BOLT
Number puzzle
These are the missing numbers:
Row 1: 24, 15
Row 2: 7
Row 3: no missing numbers
Row 4: 10, 19
Row 5: 9
The question marks signify the numbers you need to solve the door puzzle: 15, 19, and 9.
Door puzzle
Combing the solutions from the deck of cards, word, and number puzzles, you have a mix of letters and numbers: A, D*, 15, 19, and 9.
To solve the door puzzle, you need to convert the numbers to letters. The answer to the card puzzle was a clue: Ace of Clubs. A=1
15=O
19=S
9=I
The five letters you have are A D O S I.
Unscramble them to ADIOS (“goodbye” in Spanish). That sequence unlocks the door and completes the puzzles.
*If you solved the word puzzle a different way and got a different letter from it (not D), then your letters would be A O S I and whatever letter you solved for. In that case, you may not be able to spell a word, but it would still be an acceptable solution.
