Supporting the Etsy strike

Many Etsy sellers are planning to go on strike April 11th. They’re putting their shops in vacation mode (so products won’t be available for purchase) and asking customers to boycott Etsy. The strike is to protest Etsy fee increases and other policies pertaining to sellers. You can read details on The Verge and find more info at etsystrike.org.

My Etsy shop is simply a hobby and I don’t rely on sales for financial support, but I can see how Etsy’s policies have been hurting people whose full-time job is their shop.

I’d rather support those small businesses than a corporation that raises fees after two years of record profits.

From April 11th to April 18th, my Etsy shop will be on vacation mode. I’m not going anywhere, but I do hope Etsy realizes it needs to reconsider its relationship with sellers.

If you’d like to purchase any of my zines before April 11th, you can do that on Etsy. And I’m always up for trading zines. Simply message me here or on Instagram.
